Knowledge management in global software development

This is a collaboration between FEW (Christina Manteli, PhD student, and Hans van Vliet, promotor) and SBE (Bart van den Hooff) which focuses on processes of knowledge sharing in globally dispersed software development. The focus is again on TMS, which we study using a combination of Social Network Analysis, survey and interviews within three different case organizations in which software development is geographically dispersed. We focus on how the development and use of a TMS are influenced by differences in projects, geographical location and network positions, and how this affects the process of software development. Software organizations with an interest in these issues are invited to contact us to explore collaboration opportunities.
